Ten years ago, Barbareño opened its doors with a mission to redefine the modern cuisine of California's Central Coast.

Our story began in 2014, tucked away in the heart of Santa Barbara, with our mother restaurant, Barbareño. Drawing inspiration from the area’s rich history, deep culinary traditions, abundant natural resources, and the people who have shaped this region, our cuisine is a true reflection of Santa Barbara. Each dish we create is not just incredibly delicious, but also a story—one that speaks of time, place, and the intersection of food and culture. We believe in honoring our shared traditions and bringing new meaning to the Barbareño dining experience as a whole.

Central Coast Catering was born as an extension of this mission. From the wood used in our fires to the local sources of our ingredients, we are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of a dining experience with us embodies the rich story of the Central Coast. Our commitment is to bring the same passion and attention to detail that defines Barbareño, sharing the abundance and flavor of the region with you, making each celebration a true taste of Santa Barbara’s culinary heritage.

After years of being asked to share our culinary expertise at weddings, family gatherings, and corporate events, we knew it was time to embark on a new chapter. And so, Central Coast Catering was born.

Led by Chef Julian Martinez and GM of Hospitality Jesse Gaddy, both from the beloved Barbareño Restaurant, our team brings a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences. We pride ourselves on our farm-to-table ethos, our commitment to sustainability, and our ability to tailor our services to fit the unique needs of your event.
